When some of the world’s top names in gastronomy and wine converge in Mexico for the fourth annual Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival (March 12 to 15, 2015), guests of the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort and Spa, will have a front row seat to all of the culinary action.
Recently named one of the best Caribbean festivals by USA Today, the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival, takes visitors on a four-day epicurean journey among distinguished chefs, wine makers, connoisseurs, academics, and journalists in the culturally rich destination of Cancun. Home to AAA Five Diamond Award winning restaurant Le Basilic, Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort and Spa is a Platinum Host Resort of the festival and the venue for one of the main events, the Star Chefs Dinner, showcasing the best cuisine of 25 chefs from Mexico and around the world.
Each of the chefs will prepare a delectable signature menu item and diners will receive a Gourmet Passport, which includes all of the chefs’ autographs and recipes for their individual dishes. Further enhancing this culinary evening, wines will be served from premier wineries in Mexico, Argentina, Spain, and France while live entertainment will add to the beachfront ambience. The dinner takes place on Thursday, March 12 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The resort will also play host to the festival’s Celebrity Conferences where three legendary “Avant-Garde” Spanish Chefs will share their perspective on the evolution of cuisine, their personal experiences on the art of cooking, and a sneak peek at their future plans.

Leading the conference is Chef Eneko Atxa of Azurmendi restaurant in Bilbao, named one of the world’s 100 most influential up-and-coming chefs, who shares his passion for food from a Basque perspective. Next is Chef Joan Roca, whose Catalan restaurant El Celler de Can Roca was chosen as the World’s Top Restaurant in 2013 by Restaurant Magazine, in addition to many other awards including Michelin stars. The third Chef is highly acclaimed Juan Mari Arzak who has been recognized as the best chef in Spain and Europe and whose restaurant has been awarded three Michelin stars, among many other prizes and honors. A book signing will immediately follow the conference that takes place on Tuesday, March 12 from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
