“We’re all about the healing power of water,” enthuses Garrett Mersberger, Director of Wellness and Kohler Water Spas. “Water is in our DNA at Kohler, and hydrotherapy in general is what gets me and my therapists excited.”
This season, Kohler Waters Spa is offering a selection of new treatments at each of their renowned locations, including: the Forbes-Five Star Kohler Waters Spa at Destination Kohler, the Midwest’s only five-star resort-hotel; Kohler Waters Spa at Burr Ridge (30 minutes from downtown Chicago); and the new Lodge Kohler in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“I’m really excited to be launching our SEAsational Hydration Wrap,” says Mersberger. “It starts with a mitt exfoliation that is very stimulating and detoxifying, and application of a red algae wrap that helps protect the skin against free radicals. By the time you’re finished, your skin is quenched for the winter—I love the word ‘quench’—it’s a really hydrating treatment.”
Available from December 1st through February 28, 2018, these limited-time-only treatments cater to the skin’s winter-specific ailments, ranging from hydrating wraps, to indulgent manicures and pedicures. Spa-goers can continue their Kohler Waters Spa experience by relaxing and basking in each location’s amenities, which include expansive relaxation rooms, tranquil pools, and, at Destination Kohler, a stunning rooftop deck.

SEAsational Hydration Wrap (50 minutes: $167; $206 on Saturday/Holiday):
This seasonal treatment begins with a dry brush exfoliation and is followed by a red algae sea water wrap meant to rehydrate and re-mineralize the skin. Guests will leave feeling quenched and well-prepped for winter as the wrap helps to both promote cell vitality and offer protection from free radicals.
Winter Wonder Pedicure (50 minutes: $101; $111 with French polish):
The perfect escape during the busy holiday season, this deeply relaxing pedicure utilizes peppermint and lavender essential oils, along with an invigorating salt exfoliation, which prepares the skin for a rich application of vitamin E oil, sweet almond oil, and a calendula mask meant to soothe and condition. Guests will leave feeling smooth and refreshed and will receive a bottle of select OPI polish.

Soy Joy Pedicure (50 minutes: $79; $89 with French polish):
This unique winter pedicure utilizes the warmth of soy-based melted candle wax to provide guests with a warm and aromatic massage treatment for the legs. Complete with your choice of polish, the service promises to leave guests with beautifully manicured feet, silky and energized legs and an overall sensation of well-being.
The Moroccan Massage (50 minutes: $155; $165 on Saturday):
This wonderfully rich full-body massage experience begins with an inhalation and scalp massage ritual meant to whisk guests away to a relaxed state of mind. Featuring luxurious massage techniques combined with Moroccan oil body soufflé, this treatment provides ultimate stress relief and hydrates the skin.
3D Wrinkle Treatment (50 minutes: $170; $180 on Saturday – 80 minutes: $208; $218 on Saturday):
“This service focuses on the three dimensions of aging,” explains Mersberger. “It has the wrinkle-relaxing effect of Botox without the needles and helps to firm and lift. It’s a very advanced facial with instant results, and leaves the skin plumped and smooth.” The product line used is Vie, which incorporates high-tech cosmeceutical ingredients in its formulations. “In the Midwest it gets really dry in the winter, so it’s always a good thing when we can focus on remineralizing and hydrating the skin.” This facial includes the option to add a peel for an 80-minute treatment.
