Rancho La Puerta recently launched its newest fitness class, “Bounce,” enabling guests to increase their core strength and improve coordination while bouncing on a trampoline.
The newest form of functional fitness puts less stress on the joints and is done in a group class with fitness-goers on individual miniature trampolines. Bouncing is becoming the next hot boutique fitness trend offering a new way to train, with a great aerobic workout incorporating upper and lower body strength, core work, balance, and coordination.

This class is just one of over 60 fitness classes available at Rancho La Puerta, North America’s original fitness resort, that offers guests an incredible “adult summer camp” experience. A New Dynamic Running Program Guests can escape to Rancho La Puerta for their own retreat getaway that empowers true self. The Ranch’s new dynamic running program, entices trail runners, parkour enthusiasts, marathon runners, and more to take to the foothills of Mount Kuchumaa to train and explore across numerous advanced trails at different altitudes and lengths. After a challenging three- to seven-mile run at leisure, or lead by hiking concierge, Martin Ruiz, guests can recharge with farm-fresh cuisine, flexibly and strength classes, and restorative spa treatments for runners.
Trail Running Week Guests recently enjoyed the inaugural Trail Running Week with Tom and Donnie Flahavan, certified RRCA coaches who also manage Flahavan Ultra Coaching in Northern California.They’ve been running for over 30 years and together competed in many running events in varying distances, both on the road and trail. Tom holds the second fastest time known on the Tahoe Rim Trail 170-mile trek. Their coaching style is fun and educational, while focusing on improving a runner’s natural abilities. Tom and Donnie have introduced hundreds of runners to trail running including coaching athletes competing in the Western States Endurance 100-mile trail race.
