Spa L’Occitane, a sanctuary of tranquility, is proud to set foot for the first time in Washington, DC, with the opening of The Wharf Spa by L’Occitane at the InterContinental Washington DC – The Wharf.
The second US spa of the $1.3 billion-dollar French brand will be a sprawling 4,250-square-foot oasis designed to relax and replenish against scenic water views. It was created in partnership with Sanghvi Group, which operates L’Occitane spas across five luxury hotels worldwide (and now two in the US). The hotel’s waterfront location lends to uninterrupted views of the serene Potomac River, which can be enjoyed from the Spa’s Couples Room and Relaxation Room. The Spa features five therapy rooms, inclusive of the intimate Couples Room and nail bar.
“The luxurious property is the perfect place for L’Occitane to deliver premium spa services in the nation’s capital with a touch of Provence.”
“We are thrilled to be opening our newest spa at the InterContinental in Washington, DC,” said Maddie Smith, Regional Managing Director of North America for L’Occitane. “The luxurious property is the perfect place for L’Occitane to deliver premium spa services in the nation’s capital with a touch of Provence.”
The Spa menu features Provencal-inspired rituals combining the L’Occitane brand’s authentic ingredients from the South of France with traditional therapies including signature facials, body massages, and body treatments. These experiences offer guests a special journey through the renowned L’Occitane brand, while honoring the unique qualities of the surrounding city. Inspired by DC’s annual springtime bloom, L’Occitane has created a stress-relieving Cherry Blossom Massage exclusive to Spa L’Occitane at InterContinental Washington DC – The Wharf, incorporating Cherry Blossom oil into a combination of Swedish, Balinese, and Chinese Acupressure.
