Tis the season to cozy up in something super-soft & spa-inspired.
The Best Cozy-Chic Sherpa Jacket
Anatomie proves what it does best with Enya, the cozy-chic sherpa jacket introduced in its Fall collection. The ideal spa travel staple, this jacket traveled with me on a recent retreat in South Tyrol. It was the perfect piece for the chilly yet energy-inducing late autumn temperatures in the Alps. It has a relaxed fit, high-collared neckline, adjustable cord hemline, and two-way zip-front closure. It hits right at the waist and looks great with leggings or jeans. Available in latte or black.
Slip on the Spa Thong
This Maine-based company knows a thing or two about keeping feet cozy and warm. The makers of the original Slipper Sock, Acorn offers a comfy, colorful assortment of spa slippers in the way of the Acorn Spa Thong. Check out the Men’s Adjustable Spa Slide Slippers, as well.
New to the collection is the indoor/outdoor Women’s Sunday SpaThong with Everywear. A new take on the classic spa thong, the slippers feature soft terry materials and supportive EVA midsoles. Kudos to this company that has worked hard to improve the sustainability of all aspects of its operations– from materials used for footwear to product packaging, print materials, manufacturing, and supply sourcing.
For Ladies (and men) Who Lounge
Fans of Kashwére, rejoice! The beloved spa line of cozy robes, throws, and more just introduced a new collection. Officially launched on December 1st, the Lounge Collection goes a big step further in offering a nicely curated line of super-soft and cozy items. At the core of the collection is a new, finer weave of yarn that owner Merri Gleckler says, “has the softness, the hug, and the feel-good properties of Kashwere, yet it’s a lighter yarn.”
We’re especially drawn to the the shawl-collared Robe & Eye Mask set (shown here), and the lounge socks. Available in three heathered colors—blush/white, silverfox/pewter, and oyster/bone–the Lounge Collection also includes slippers, shawls, and throws.
The Little Book of Rest
Author Stephanie Thomas believes that creating a happy, healthy life can be a laid-back, realistic, and, most importantly–a restful experience. A certified personal trainer, health coach, and yoga teacher, Stephanie has divided the book into four main sections: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual rest. Her tips are un-intimidating, practical, and easy to follow.
For example, a physical rest tip can be anything from foam rolling to taking five minutes out to stretch every day, while a spiritual rest tip can be writing a love letter to yourself, getting into Bonsai, or practicing yoga Nidra. There are many more ways (100 to be exact) to restore yourself in this handy little guide.
