The open kitchen at Mii amo has always been one of our spa favorites, and we never miss the opportunity to take a healthy cooking class when we visit. So, we were happy to learn that this award-winning destination spa is introducing Juicing 101, its newest class.
Beginning March 1st, Juicing 101 will be offered to guests twice a week (Wednesday and Friday) and will review the benefits of juicing, the health properties of various organic fruits and vegetables, how to juice, how to combine ingredients for best flavors, which supplements do what, and what to look for when choosing a home juicer. To give you a taste, here’s a delicious green smoothie recipe you can make at home. miiamo.com

Helpful Juicing Tips to Get You Started
•Use apples, pineapples or carrots to sweeten a smoothie or juice, naturally.
•Keep your juicer very clean; bacteria can grow quickly.
•Start with a high-powered blender. This allows you to juice, blend for smoothies, and make other items (such as soups). This is an investment that multitasks until juicing becomes a daily habit.
