It’s finally Spring, and in celebration we delved into our spa beauty cupboards to test out all kinds of eye creams and masks—and our peepers thanked us profusely! Here, a list of our favorite finds.
Sonya Dakar Hoya Nourishing Eye Treatment: We’ve been fans of this leading LA esthetician for a long time. This new, re-energizing and 100-percent natural oil is super-gentle and blends Hoya flower with passion fruit and fig, as well as both cucumber and grape seed oils. (It smells really good, too.) A little goes a long way; best when used as a primer pre-eye cream of your choice. This is a great little product for your lashes, as well. sonyadakarskinclinic.com
Kerstin Florian Correcting Eye Rescue: This is one of our top picks to take on long flights. The kit comes with 6 Eye Rescue Pads and a small bottle of Rehydrating Neroli Water to moisten the pads. Simply apply the pads under the eyes and rest for 15 minutes or so, then follow with an eye cream. Main magical ingredient is Laminaria Digitata, full of trace elements, minerals, and vitamins. Really soothes and refreshes. kerstinflorianusa.com
Skin Authority Reviving Eye Brightener: Dark circles, beware! This new cream is refreshingly lightweight and formulated specifically to reduce inflammation, strengthen capillaries, and brighten your delicate eye area. Hardworking ingredients include CoQ10 Enzyme, arnica, ginseng and Vitamin K, plus the high-tech, trademarked AOX Technology (secret combo of antioxidants and vitamins). skinauthority.com
Radical Skincare Eye Revive Creme: One of our editors brought this powerhouse of an eye cream back from the Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess where she tried out the Radical Discovery Facial. A hydrating, antioxidant-rich cream, this product targets crow’s feet, dark circles, and puffiness. Anti-aging ingredients include green coffee, shea butter, and grape seed extract. radicalskincare.com
Dr. Hauschka Eye Revive Refreshing Compresses: This really is as good as it gets when it comes to soothing and refreshing tired eyes. The calming herbal solution includes extracts of botanicals like eyebright and chamomile—and really does the trick. Great for all of us who spend way too much time on computers et al. An unnamed staffer here at InsidersGuidetoSpas, suffers from occasional eczema on her eyelids—and swears by this product. I like to pack it in my beauty bag on long hauls. The kit contains 10 ampules and special cotton pads. Bonus: BDIH and NATRUE certified. lovelyskin.com
Clarins Skin-Smoothing Eye Mask: Who doesn’t love a gentle mask created especially for the delicate under-eye area? I save this one for special occasions. It hydrates, refreshes, and just makes my tired eyes look better. While instructions advise to keep on for five to 10 minutes, I typically keep it on for 20. It works for me—maybe it’s the wild rose extracts—who knows. clarinsusa.com
Eminence Bearberry Eye Repair Cream: At first try, we weren’t sure if this nourishing eye cream was too light. It’s kind of a cross between a gel and a cream, but after testing it out for a week, we came to like the formula’s lightness. Added bonus: This product is made with Biodynamic ingredients (think hop, bearberry, and meadow eyebright) from Demeter International Certified Biodynamic farms. eminenceorganics.com
